The Holiday Jewelry Making Season

It's here!!! The Holiday jewelry season. I usually start by making little girls jewelry..very inexpensive but a huge draw at art fairs and for my kids' friends. Then my beloved WINE GLASS TAGS and now a line of turquoise and copper, or funky wire wrapped creations. My juices are flowing and I am ready to make early and sell until Christmas eve.
I am still handstamping pendants..I am also make these wonderful chalkboard painted flower pots for the holidays.... you can write the name of the flower or herb...love it.
Small chalkboards for the neices with fun ribbon on the metal hanger..lots of crafting ideas for teachers and family.
I will be updating my etsy account..you can check out my new jewelry at

Wine Time.....

I'm already thinking about gift giving and making..... I came up with something new, a brand new design, and I'm thrilled. ~ Wine Glass Tags..they are new and improved and who couldn't use a little updating of their old wine glass rings. The rings are getting harder and harder for me to not only open, but remember they are on the glass. ~ These are made to slip on and pinch slightly around your stem. Each one is different..I'm so proud of them it just makes me want to drink my Diet Dr Pepper from a martini glass.

I am starting to stamp words and initials on copper or brass and hang them with a bead. I am going come out with a "party girl" theme, Holiday theme, family theme and whatever else I think of.

these will be at my http://www.lizzieluna.etsy.com/ site.. or just write if you have questions

Tennis Anyone??? or soccer, or running

SPORTS are on my mind lately. I have been working out..the kids are home so I have to fit it in all strange hours of the day. They are very active, so I usually don't have to worry about fitness..just myself. ~ So, with this inspiration, I have decided to expand my SPORT SCENE jewelry line.... I love Tennis, handstamped charms and Basketball and RUN LIKE A GIRL charms....which I think are cool... I thought about THROW LIKE A GIRL (which I take as a compliment, I throw farther than most men...okay, boys). I like making jewelry for sporty girls (or ladies) and having my jewelry fun and not so serious sometimes. ~ Having a fun start to the summer. We have been at the pool almost everyday this week.

MAY (well, almost)

I am in the process of changing up my website..no more large pictures that make it take so much longer than it has to..it will just take you to my www.todjul.etsy.com site. I will make it so you can purchase from me still and not just on etsy.com's shopping cart. You will also be able to see multiple photo's of each piece. This will eliminate so much time listing the same things on both sites. I am working on an information page..stones, supplies, custom stuff..hopefully my vision will come to light by the time we are 1/2 way through May. I'm excited for all these new changes.

Using handmade Thai silver and labradorite have got to be my two favorite materials. This is a 5mm handstamped chain. Thai silver has more silver content than sterling and has a nice organic feel to it. The links are handstamped and soldered. The pendant I used is an organic cut Labradorite with tons of flash. You will see me use a lot of labradorite. I feel it transitions well from season to season..plus I love the blue flash and gray color. ~ I am updating my etsy site (todjul.etsy.com) with my latest labradorite and Thai silver pieces. These are all one of a kind.

Ready For Summer

Only about 5 more weeks of school for the kids and then I can get ready for our busy but lazy summer ahead. I am finished with round 1 of my summer line. I put everything away after making well over 40 new pieces. I am keeping a few but most are already listing on my website www.todjul.etsy.com. ~ I will schedule my show and I'm sure 2 weeks before that I will be making jewelry like a mad woman.
I am taking some time to learn a few things and work with my husband building his marketing business. Should be fun, but as with all new things...it's sort of intimidating.
Check out the jewels..I'm still putting pieces up. I have to work on my displays as well. I have found chalk board paint and I know I can do something funky with that.
Happy Spring

Summer Jewelry

The show I did last week was a good experience for me. I forget what sells at shows..lots of kids jewelry. The stamping gets the most attention lately.
I ordered chain and Thai silver. Thai silver usually has more silver content than sterling..it's handstamped and handmade. It has a softer feel than the ornate Bali silver beads. I bought some rings and chain and silver silver silver. I have lots of plans. I am going to use April to create and the rest of the summer to sell.
I'm excited about spring and summer. I'll have my new pieces listed next week.

Springs Shows and Spring Fever

Getting ready for the spring shows on etsy and a small marketplace at a school nearby. I'm doing a lot of handstamped charms and just funky spring and summer pieces. I'm into two toned necklaces and I am making more all silver pieces. I have so many earrings that I am just putting those on hold lately. I will list more on my etsy..but for some reason they don't seem to sell as well as necklaces. Getting spring fever and I think it's reflected in my designs this month. Happy Spring..almost...check out www.todjul.etsy.com for my new weekly designs.

I have hundreds of pieces but listing is a slow process. ~ I have about 8 pair of fantastic earrings to list...I love earrings, especially ones with mixed metals or stones. ~ I made two chunky funky eclectic stone necklaces yesterday, but those will have to wait until next weekend.

I've been working hard on my summer and spring line. I am also breaking into the Dog World of kennel charms, cell phone charms and maybe some Dog Mama bracelets. I am new to the dog world, so if you have any comments or something cool you have seen, send me a note.
